Soroptimist Video Project
I didn’t know much about the Soroptimist Society until I did a variety of photographs for various members of the Westshore chapter and a cover for GoWestshore Magazine. When I found out about all the amazing work this group was doing to help women and girls both locally and internationally, I was happy to lend my services to creating a video that captured this multi-faceted organization. I’m happy to say, in doing so, I also chose to become a member of Soroptimists Westshore.
Coast Capital Savings
Lucky me to photograph the new corporate headquarters of Coast Capital Savings on Jutland Road. What a lovely work environment. I can only imagine the delight of the staff as they entered these beautiful new offices for their first time and saw the incredible views from the giant panoramic windows overlooking the Selkirk Trestle. Lucky them, lucky me.
West Shore Life + Style Magazine
This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Dale. The first session was on-location outdoors with her Westshore Soroptimist leaders and the image seen here in the magazine was taken in my studio with controlled lighting and the use of modular sets to create a feeling of warmth and depth. That warmth definitely extends through her team who were a delight to work with.
Short & Sweet
It’s always such a joy to meet wonderful new people. Jo-Ann Prest is one of those individuals who is a walking ball of sunshine. I had the great pleasure of meeting her thanks to Dr. Margaret Onoszko who entrusted me to produce photographs and this short video of her remarkable client which can be seen on the website we also maintain for her.
Learn About Creatively United
Thanks to author/television host Guy Dauncey for the opportunity to speak about CreativelyUnited.org, a community project I started more than seven years ago that offers numerous services and benefits for island residents.
Guy’s half-hour, commercial free television program, Change the World, features local change makers and innovators.
Upcoming Gallery Event: “Does Anyone Shoot Film Anymore?”
In preparing a submission for this show, it was fun to revisit film images I took while a student of photography in 1989/90. Two of my “reject” prints are included in Fourty Nine show opening this Saturday.
Find more details about the event on Facebook here.
The gallery is open Wednesdays from 12-5 PM, Fridays from 12-8 PM, and Saturday 12-3 PM.
February Cover of GoWestshore Magazine
It was great to work with the fabulous GoWestshore Magazine team in creating this cover and inside photo for February. I’m honoured to have photographed their inaugural January cover that launched their presence on the Westshore.
New Website Portraits
One of the thing I love most about being a photographer, is meeting and working with fabulous people. I recently had the pleasure of creating new portraits for the legal team at Cox Taylor, as well as photographing their beautiful building and surrounding courtyard in Bastion Square, Victoria for their new website.

Creating original portraiture that captures the essence of a family is one of the joys of being a professional portrait photographer – especially when the family includes six children, one being a baby in arms and a two-year-old with a mind of his own and the energy to go with it!
This shot also includes a family member who unfortunately couldn’t be present for this image, but I had fortunately photographed prior to putting together this composite and seasonal cards complete with text as shown.
Solutions Episode 2: Artists As Change Makers
Hear how an internationally-renown filmmaker, photojournalist, singer/songwriter duo, and a fine art photographer are all creating change through their craft. Featuring striking imagery and insight into the power of art.
Stylishly Simple
It’s always a pleasure to photograph homes for developers, realtors, stagers and owners.
This two bedroom shines with a stylish simplicity with credit to the stager for this new condo display suite currently under construction on Peatt Road in Victoria, BC.
Elevating Your Image
This short video testimonial was created for Victoria dental specialist, Dr. Margaret Onoszko. Short testimonial and educational videos are a great way to attract new clients and provide needed content for your website. Good audio, lighting and video quality definitely elevate professionals who value their image.
Solutions Episode Three: Food & Farming
Local food experts share a wealth of knowledge on everything from growing citrus fruit to food security, featuring Vancouver Island non-profits and leading edge small businesses dedicated to healthy, nutritious and delicious food.

New Westshore Magazine
I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Patricia Wade and the GAP Publishing Group Inc. to photograph the inaugural cover of their soon to launch #GoWestShore Magazine.
The January 2018 cover will feature Deb Alcadinho, founder of the Westshore Women’s Business Network (WWBN). This monthly networking group meets at the Colwood Clubhouse where this image was taken. As a member myself, I can attest that I’ve met many incredible women and heard some wonderful speakers at these luncheon meetings.
Girl Warrior Interview
Honoured to have been interviewed by Bonney King and featured on Warrior Girl Productions.

On-location Pet and Family Portraits
Anyone who loves their pets knows they are part of the family. Treasured moments can be captured and enjoyed again and again with wall portraits, books, prints, slideshows and screensavers.
I’m always honoured to capture special times in the history of any family. There’s no time like the present to book a portrait session. Within weeks of this session, Shanti passed but her memory and beauty lives on. These are but a few of the many images I took that captured a “day in the life of” this beautiful horse.
Custom Created Images for Business & Display
Ever need a quality local image to illustrate a display, presentation or use web and just don’t have the right time of year, weather or time to find it?
Look no further! I have thousands of local and regional stock images and can custom-create exactly the kind of image you need.
Here are just two examples of how images I created for the Township of Esquimalt have been used in an upcoming informational piece.
