January got off to a fast start with the SWPP/The Societies International 2011 Photography Convention in London, England where I had the good fortune to not only judge their 16×20 print competition with some of the most illustrious names in the photography industry but present two Masterclasses which were well-received by a lovely audience of beginner to intermediate photographers.

Above, photographer to superstars and royalty is John Swannell, who shared highlights of his illustrious career with a large audience and graciously allowed me to enjoy a private conversation with him and the Canadian/US contingency of judges and speakers at the awards evening gala. I loved seeing how well-marked my class was with my very own sign courtesy of the host hotel the Novotel.

Getting featured in a magazine is always a thrill and being this was the first time in this European publication I was overjoyed to see this double-page spread of my work in print.
