FRANCES IS ONE OF VICTORIA’S most popular photographers. Her portfolio is a diverse collection of work spanning magazine covers, annual reports, editorial features, advertisements and brochures, plus the city’s finest weddings, portraits and events.
Frances Litman has a beautiful studio, plus full on-location facilities. “I’m fully equipped. My clients appreciate having the assurance that I come prepared,” she says.
Whether it’s a business or family portrait, Frances Litman strives for a relaxed and approachable look, while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
At events, Frances prefers to quietly go about her business, drawing no attention to herself, but simply recording the action as it happens. Her photojournalistic eye and sense of timing has earned her the respect of clients and colleagues alike.
Frances was awarded her Masters and Craftsman of Photographic Arts Designations from the Professional Photographers Association of Canada, plus a prestigious Fellowship from the association, as well as an Accolade of Photographic Mastery and an Accolade of Outstanding Photographic Achievement from Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). She continues to win numerous awards both nationally and internationally.
CHARITIES…Did you know that Frances is an avid supporter of a number of charities, donating not only time but money to such worthwhile causes as: The Land Conservancy, the Sierra Club, Ancient Forest Alliance, Dogwood Initiative, David Suzuki Foundation, the Western Wilderness Committee, Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, Unicef, the CNIB, the Mustard Seed food bank, Ducks Unlimited, the Wild Arc, plus many others.
“I’m a firm believer in sharing and giving back when and where I can and donate a substantial portion of all my sales to charity. I’d love to be a full-time philanthropist, however, in the meantime I donate time, money and resources as regularly as I can and try to encourage and inspire others to do the same,” she says.
Frances not only runs her business with integrity but with careful consideration for the environment.
